Eric Pulier Past to Present

Beginning in fourth grade when he started programming computers, Eric Pulier has not stopped working for both himself and the betterment of the world around him. With his education from Harvard, where he primarily studies English, American Literature, Computer Science, and Environmental studies, he has proceeded time and time again help those in need.

Eric Pulier is officially a published author, technologist, and entrepreneur. As stated, he has held a long time fascination of the world technology has to offer. In addition, he was the author of a weekly column written for the Harvard Crimson Weekly called PulierLeg, where he also served as editor. Since then, he has published a book and articles in reputable sources such as Forbes Magazine.

One of his most notable contributions to a trouble community is his work on Starbright World. He worked, with several other programmers and entrepreneurs, to develop a platform for children with chronic illnesses to discuss and share their issues and troubles. The team was managed by Pulier and was comprised of paid workers and volunteers. Eventually, the project linked over 75 hospitals in the United States together.

After his work on Starbright World, Pulier began working on Starlight Diabetes. This project uses a game structure to teach children about the important of diet and how it can affect their bodies. By traveling throughout their internal systems, they see how their body reacts to different stimuli. The game was one of the first of its kind to teach children the importance of the illness so many individuals their age have in the U.S. alone.

Eventually, in 1997, Pulier was chosen to build and run the “Bridge to the 21st Century” by Bill Clinton and Al Gore. This event took place in Washington D.C. and was attended by thousands of individuals, many of which were involved in congress or the senate. Eric Pulier himself publicized the event on almost every major news network. The event culminated in communicated with live-feed from a space shuttle.

Throughout his career, Eric Pulier has achieved many different forms of awards and praise for helping individuals.
