Casio Audi and his role in the spread of heavy metal music in Latin America

Casio Audi is a popular name in the corridors of the finance industry. However, what a lot don’t know is that before joining the Finance world, Casio Audi had a fantastic music career. Casio Audi started as a founding member of the Viper Rock Band in the 1980’s. Together with Pit Passarell, Andre Machado, Felipe Machado, and Yves Passarel, they came together to form the Viper Rock Band in 1985.

During his time in the band, Cassio Audi was well-known by the metal fans from around the world for his drumming in viper and the role he played in popularizing heavy metal music in Latin America. Casio joined the band while he was a teenager and stayed there for nine years when he decided to change his career to pursue business.

The band members got a lot of inspiration from the Iron Maiden and the growing British heavy metal music. During his time in the band, Audi was good in instruments. Most of his fans attest to the fact that Casio would have a prosperous music career if he stayed in the band.

Casio’s proficiency in drums came out when the band released The Killer Sword, their first demo album. Some of the popular tracks in the demo album include Princess from Hell, Nightmare, and Killera. These tracks were however included in their main album after a few adjustments.

The Viper Rock Band released their first album in 1987. The name of the album is Soldiers of the Sunrise and Cassio played the drum sets. The album was well-received by metal fans from across the globe, and it rated at four-star by Allmusic. This first album by the band has been redone several times since the original debut. Audi quit music life in 1989 when the group released their second album; Theatre of Fate.

The Great History of James Larkin

The legend James Larkin was born in England the year 1876. Having being born in the slums, he was not privileged with any form of luxury, especially a good education.

His fame came as a result of his endless effort to fight for better standards for workers. He was a normal worker at the city doing manual kinds of work.

James did not like how workers were being treated and wanted to fight for equal rights as people who had better jobs. His joining the National Union of Dock Laborers finally got him an honorable position as a full-time trade union organizer. This was in the year 1905.

The NUDL felt threatened by his strike methods, and in 1907 they transferred him to Dublin.

That was where the ITGWU came to be. He stood for all workers to be treated fairly despite their respective positions. He wanted the jobless people of Ireland with 60 years of age to have an approximate 8-hour work day. Read more: Jim Larkin | Wikipedia

There was no room for being unemployed as there were tons of transport facilities that needed to be worked on. He made allies who together formed the Irish Labor Party that would go on strikes to protest for unskilled laborers to have equal rights.

The Dublin Lockout which lasted over seven months was the most effective strike which led to their demands being met! Larkin’s aggressiveness in his speech had struck Constance Markievicz as a determined and compassionate person.

He found himself drawn to Larkin’s way of conveying his message to crowds. He understood every one of their struggles, and they loved him.

He would show sympathy and talk to them with intelligence and gentleness like a way to comfort them. Thus, in return, he would receive trust and support from his massive audience. Of course, not everyone was for what Larkin was doing, especially the press.

But his followers outnumbered those who hated on his movements. People with big titles sided with him too which was a great influence on the people.

When the First World War began, Larkin organized peace demonstrations. They urged people to stop fighting each other and start fighting for each other to keep their country strong in unity.

Larkin’s Travel to America

James Larkin traveled to America in the year 1914 for lecture tour purposes but mainly to seek help to raise funds to go against the British.

There he joined the Socialist Party of America and the Industrial Workers of the World. In 1918, he founded a James Connolly club in New York in Honor on his late friend and partner who had just passed away.

Two years later, he was imprisoned for criminal anarchy and communism for three years which after his release was deported back to Ireland. This did not stop his spirits to fight for Justice. He founded the Workers union in Ireland in 1924 and established it.

In 1945 he earned membership in the Irish Labor Party and never stopped working having the workers best interest at heart till 1947 when he died.

American Groups that Advocate for Civil, Human and Migrant Rights

The United States was founded by the championship for human rights. Since then, the country has remained at the forefront of fighting for civil, human, and migrant rights. It has been a perfect breeding ground for many organizations that advocate for human rights.

The American Immigration Lawyer Association (AILA)

AILA, a voluntary bar organization, formerly known as Association of Immigration and Nationality Lawyers (AINL), was founded in 1946. The organization has more than thirteen thousand attorneys and law professors.

It is a non-partisan and non-profit firm. AILA offers professional services, education, information, as well as expertise using its thirty-eight chapters and more than fifty national committees.

The attorneys are devoted to impacting the knowledge on immigration law to people. In addition, the attorneys represent U.S. families pursuing permanent residence for their relatives as well as U.S. businesses that are seeking talents from other countries. As a matter of public interest, the association also represents foreign athletes, students, entertainers, and asylum seekers.

Larkin & Lacey Frontera Fund

It was established by the co-founders of Village Voice Media and Phoenix New Times, Jim Larkin and Michael Lacey. The two devoted their $3.75 million settlement funds acquired from their arrest by Sheriff Joe Arpaio to support organizations that champion for migrants rights in Arizona.

Jim and Michael were arrested, taken from their homes, and jailed at midnight by the Maricopa County Sheriff on October 18, 2007.

The two had exposed the existence of grand jury proceedings that sought after journalists’ notes on articles covering Joe Arpaio. The grand jury subpoenas had also demanded the identity of innocent citizens who read the New Times stories involving the sheriff online.

Larkin and Lacey took legal action against the county, and they prevailed. The Larkin & Lacey Frontera Fund finances groups that champion for civil, human, and migration rights in addition to freedom of speech and civic participation rights across Arizona.

Coalition for Human Immigration Rights of Los Angeles (CHIRLA)

As the name suggests, CHIRLA is based in Los Angeles and focuses on immigration rights. Formerly, the organization operated at a local level but it has evolved, and its influence is felt nationwide.

CHIRLA organizes and serves individuals, coalitions, and institutions to transform policies and public opinions with the aim of achieving civil rights. The organization has also championed for policies and legislations that benefit the migrant community.

CHIRLA collaborates with other advocacy organizations and networks targeting issues on immigration rights to achieve the common goals. For instance, it partnered with Coalition of Garment Worker Advocates (CGWA), whose main aim was to expose the violations of labor laws in the Los Angeles garment industry.

In 2001, the partnership established the Garment Worker Center which provided an opportunity for the workers to unite and come up with options to better working conditions.
